Veterans Day Screening: Of Men and War

Providing the most visceral and unflinching look into the lives of returned  veterans, OF MEN AND WAR’s lens intimately follows the recovery efforts of twelve veterans suffering from PTSD.

Director Laurent Bécue-Renard exposes veterans’ experiences in an entirely unique, never-before-seen manner, gaining unprecedented access to their lives at home and intense therapy sessions to unveil the gripping reality that is daily life for veterans as they attempt to make peace with themselves, their past, and their families. Helping the young men forge meaning from their trauma is a Vietnam vet himself, therapist and director at The Pathway Home, a first-of-its-kind PTSD therapy center. Unfiltered and emotionally charged, OF MEN AND WAR depicts the aftermath of war through the oft-unseen effects of trauma and the hope found within the refuge of facilities such as The Pathway Home. These veterans bear witness and, with their stories, contribute to a greater public consciousness of the hardships confronting the men and women who fight for our nation’s security. – The Orchard
